I think Abby and Jason’s first look will go down as one of my all time favorites! It was Jason’s facial expression combined with Abby’s excited face and the bridesmaids excitedly peeking in the background. It all made for one great moment!
There are endless options when photographing at the Cosmos Club. I am particularly partial to the gold room becuase it reminds me of a grand European palace. I’m also into this ornate fireplace.
The couple brought the garden indoors for their ceremony at the Cosmos Club. It was a nod to their proposal location, the Boston Gardens. A chuppah made of trees designed by Anne Book and created by Amaryllis was also later repurposed at their reception at the Ritz Carlton DC. It was a great way to use the trees again and it also served as an anchor to the dance floor.
The Cosmos Club is very near and dear to Abby and her family. It’s where Abby had her Bat Mitzvah and also where her sister, Elyse, was married. It wasn’t hard to decide that she and Jason’s ceremony should be at the club. Keeping with family tradition, the rabbi who married Abby and Jason also served as officiate at her sister’s wedding as well as her parent’s. After a chacuterie and popover cocktail, the guests headed to Ritz Carlton DC to dance the night away.
