Juliet was the sweetest little girl to photograph and daughter of Amy, who writes the awesome blog, Clarendon Cultur. (Amy’s blog and twitter feed is one that I enjoy following so I can see what’s going on in and around Arlington) It was absolutely adorable when we took little Juliet to Bakeshop to partake in cupcakes (what little kid doesn’t love cupcakes?). It was here where I saw her personality really come out and saw Juliet’s face break open into these big gorgeous smiles. I love the messiness while she eats and the innocence of how something so little can make her so happy.

This National Harbor wedding was beautiful! And while, I love getting to know the bride and grooms during the wedding planning process, it’s also a big plus when I get to know their family too. It was such a great start when I met Marie for the first time and her mother, Terry. It was endearing seeing mother and daughter collaborate on the wedding and seeing how much Terry cared about her daughter. Their efforts were not in vain as the day turned out beautifully, and it was great to see Marie and Victor’s parents really enjoy themselves on the day too. Congrats to Marie and Victor, it was so much fun working with you at this National Harbor Wedding!
Marie worked with Holly Chapple for her beautiful flowers. When Holly delivered the bouquets to the room, she had not one, but two bouquets for Marie to choose from. This is a picture of Marie when she sees her bouquet for the first time.

Katie’s parent’s house can be found down a long, winding road and sits adjacent to her Aunt’s house. It’s here were the two families share a driveway, a hen house and even a yard where their dogs can run around together. It’s also the place where Katie will marry her sweetheart Mike in the fall. So naturally the couple chose her parents house as the starting point for their engagement session. And the house with white shutters and a wrap around porch matches perfectly with its location, the quaint and charming town of St. Michaels. I can’t wait to see what Julie Savage of Strawberry Milk Events comes up with when Katie and Mike are married in her parent’s backyard later this year.

Beth and Rob had their Athenaeum wedding in Alexandria during cherry blossom season. And Beth was one of the sweetest and most grateful brides that I have worked with. To get to know the brides and grooms along the planning process and then be with them on the wedding day is such a fun perk of my job. I love learning their personalities and then seeing the result of their planning on the big day. For Beth and Rob it was amazing to witness how happy they made each other. Beth had some nerves at the beginning of the day, but as soon as she saw Rob at their Athenaeum wedding those nerves completely went away. It was so endearing to see the effect they had on each other. Their wedding day was flawless and executed to perfection by Maria and Kelly of Ritzy Bee Events.
