Jen and Jay first met on a hot summer day at a barbecue in Virginia. Jay was manning the iPod and when he asked Jen what song to play next, she requested the song, Tupelo Honey. The two enjoyed the music and this nostalgic song eventually became inspiration when Karson Butler Events planned their spring time wedding. Their cake by Kendall’s Cakes was in the flavor of Tupelo Honey and Jen also selected the tune to walk down the aisle with her dad.
Jen and Jay chose to have a River Farm wedding because it provided the beautiful gardens.
They also loved the historical connection to George Washington that is unique to the DC area. They lucked out with a gorgeous day in May!
When I asked Jen what her favorite part of the day was, she said hands down it was their “first look”
Jen and Jay’s River Farm wedding was also featured in Southern Living Weddings!
