 Meghan and Mike held their Woodlawn wedding in Ridge, Maryland this year and they chose their venue because of their shared love for history.  Woodlawn was built in 1798 and the church was one of the first Catholic churches in Maryland (and in the United States).  Woodlawn is a bed and breakfast located outside of DC.  So it was a perfect way for Meghan and Mike to have their friends and family spend the weekend together.  Their wedding was also featured on the gorgeous, Snippet and Ink.  You can read about the wedding here.

You know when a wedding starts with an invitation like this, it’s going to be beautiful…

Amy and Ali’s wedding did not disappoint.  Held at Rose Hill Manor and planned by the wonderful, Gretchen Wade, of Events by Dragonfly.  Amy was such an amazing bride to work with, and she really got into the planning process.  She designed and letterpressed these gorgeous invitations for her wedding.  She even created the pattern for the fabric that was used throughout the wedding and had them printed through Spoonflower.

I love these pictures that we took right after the ceremony.  You can see the pure happiness on their faces.

Gretchen took the pattern that Amy designed and had custom drum shades made to illuminate the dance floor. Even of My Deejay had everyone on the dance floor.  There wasn’t a person sitting down.

This National Harbor wedding was beautiful!  And while, I love getting to know the bride and grooms during the wedding planning process, it’s also a big plus when I get to know their family too.  It was such a great start when I met Marie for the first time and her mother, Terry.  It was endearing seeing mother and daughter collaborate on the wedding and seeing how much Terry cared about her daughter.  Their efforts were not in vain as the day turned out beautifully, and it was great to see Marie and Victor’s parents really enjoy themselves on the day too.  Congrats to Marie and Victor, it was so much fun working with you at this National Harbor Wedding!

Marie worked with Holly Chapple for her beautiful flowers.  When Holly delivered the bouquets to the room, she had not one, but two bouquets for Marie to choose from.  This is a picture of Marie when she sees her bouquet for the first time.
