Sofia and PJ had an amazing Park Hyatt Washington wedding this summer filled with black, white and blush tones. The couple originally met in homeroom class during 6th grade where they “officially” became boyfriend and girlfriend. They parted ways when their paths led them to rival high schools. However, upon graduation, they independently decided to attend the same college. It was during their freshman year that their friendship rekindled again and later that semester turned into dating. Years later, PJ took Sofia back to their 6th grade homeroom class where they reminisced about Sofia sharing her breakfast of strawberry pop tarts with him during class. Before she noticed it, PJ was on one knee proposing in the room where it all started. So excited to see these grade school sweethearts published in the most recent issue of Washingtonian Bride and Groom! Tess and Marcus were married in June at a beautiful and classic Oxon Hill Manor wedding. Choosing the venue proved to be very serendipitous. Tess mentioned that she fell in love with the venue upon first site. After Marcus proposed, Tess’ mom asked her where she’d like to get married. Oxon Hill Manor immediately came to mind. But she didn’t think there would be a date available for the upcoming summer. Unbeknownst to her, a few weeks prior, her mother had asked her then boyfriend (who she knew was about to propose) where he thought we would like to be married. The two surreptitiously booked the last date available the following June. So on the morning of their engagement, it was a complete surprise to Tess. Needless to say she was thrilled! This gorgeous wedding was also featured on Snippet and Ink.

Lauren and Christopher from start to finish. There were even five flower girls and four ring bearers (complete with polka dot bow ties) that walked down the aisle before Lauren wed Christopher. This gorgeous wedding is also featured on Martha Stewart Weddings.
Heather and Ryan Zimmerman wedding was such a dream to photograph. Their classic black tie wedding took place in the winter and was planned to perfection by Maria and Kelly of Ritzy Bee Events. From their “first look” at the Lincoln Memorial (where Ryan proposed) to the after party festivities (that took place at the POV at the W Hotel), the day flowed flawlessly. And we couldn’t have asked for better weather (and sunshine) for a day in January. Here is a look at the wedding day, to see more pick up an issue of Washingtonian Bride and Groom.
