Tara and Mike were married at Stone Manor. The secluded, rustic setting was just perfect for their wedding day. This was a special wedding for me, because not only was Tara a beautiful bride, but she is also a friend of mine. So happy for you two, congratulations!

Melissa and Jon at the Airlie Center

Melissa and Jon were married at the Airlie Center in Warrenton, Virginia. I loved the beautiful grounds of the Airlie Center, and the old colonial look of the buildings. One of the great things about being a photographer is seeing so many people at one of their most memorable days. Jon made their honeymoon very memorable too. He told Melissa to pack her bags for a warm place, but she didn’t know the exact location until they got to the airport. And that was when Jon told her they were going to Greece. Hope you had a great honeymoon guys!

Laura and Tom’s rustic barn wedding

Laura and Tom were married in Maryland under a tree on a beautiful day. Nothing could have been more perfect. Laura did an AMAZING job with so many DIY projects. From the pom pom napkin rings to the personal drink flags. She did not leave anything untouched. Congrats Laura and Tom!

Tom is a map maker. So the table numbers had Maryland maps as the background.

Shelly and Hafey’s Mexico Wedding

I traveled down to Mexico to photograph Shelly and Hafey’s wedding. I love destination weddings because they are so intimate and personal. I love how the guests are so close to the bride and groom and that they really get to know each other on the trip. Shelly and Hafey were surrounded by their closest friends and family at their intimate wedding in a little Mexican chapel. Congratulations you two!

Robin and Vaughn’s Brooklyn Bridge Wedding at Bubby’s Pie Company

I have been excited about this wedding for a while. Robin and Vaughn had their fun and eclectic wedding at Bubby’s Pie Company in the DUMBO section of Brooklyn. The location of Bubby’s was AMAZING! With two bridges surrounding the restaurant. Robin and Vaughn had so many great details at their wedding that really expressed their personality. I LOVED the paper flowers by Eloise. So original and beautiful artwork.

These paper flowers were made by Eloise Corr Danch. Her incredible work has been seen in W Magazine, Macy’s windows and she has appeared as a guest crafter on the Martha Stewart Show.

The custom invitations were designed by Anna Hurley of Hello Lucky. Love her design!

Melissa and Patrick at the Jefferson Monument

I don’t usually like to take pictures at the monuments. They monuments are crowded and usually end up looking similar too to other pictures. But the monuments at night was a different story. So when Melissa brought up the idea of taking pictures there after the reception was over, I decided to give it a go.

Melissa and Patrick’s wedding at Belle Haven Country Club in Alexandria

Melissa and Patrick were married in March at the Belle Haven Country Club in Alexandria. It was a beautiful sunny day and perfect for pictures! I loved the great details that Melissa had planned from the Chinese sign-in cloth to the sparkler send off.

Melissa and her bridesmaids got ready in the Potomac Room at the country club.

The girls had their hair done by Julie of Hair by Jewels.

The bridesmaids surprised her with a custom scrapbook with a page made by each of them.

Patrick and Melissa decided to do a “first look” before the ceremony. I am a big advocate of this, because it really sets the tone for the day and calms any nerves one may off. It also gives a great intimate moment for the couple. I love their reaction as they see each other for the first time. Such a private and special moment for Mel and Pat.

The beautiful flowers were by Melissa and Ande of Capitol Blossoms.

The guests found their tables by places that Melissa and Pat had visited while dating.

Another Level was the entertainment for the night and they were awesome! They are located in Richmond, VA
