  • 5 Things My Mother Has Taught Me

    May 12, 2013   //   miscellaneous

Happy Mother’s Day!  I am so lucky to have an amazing Mom who I talk to on a daily basis.  While she taught me a lot of things growing up… I came up with some of my favorites and that I use today.

    1. Chocolate makes everything better.
    2. Treat others as you want to be treated.
    3. Always believe in yourself.
    4. Truly great friends are hard to find, difficult to leave and impossible to forget.
    5. You can never ever have too many pairs of shoes.

  • My office mate Lola

    April 30, 2013   //   miscellaneous

Working from home certainly has its perks.  I get to do things like make my own hours, go to a mid-morning barre class, but I’d have to say my personal favorite is having Lola as my office mate.  While I work away at my computer she is always nearby.  She spends her days snoozing away (with an occasional snore here and there) always in her bed next to my desk.  She’s getting older now (9 years this year!) and I realized my husband and I don’t have pictures taken of our little family.   So I asked my amazing assistant, Danielle, to take some pictures of us.  Can you tell we like kissing her mushy face?

  • Bridal Shower at La Costa Resort and Spa in San Diego

    March 29, 2013   //   miscellaneous

What a perfect way to spend the time before your wedding relaxing at the spa with your favorite ladies!  Emily and Amber of Karson Butler Events planned the day of tranquility for Teresa to kick off a three day weekend of San Diego wedding festivities.  And La Costa Resort & Spa was the quintessential venue for the relaxing afternoon filled with facials, massages and a spa lunch.  Studio Fiore provided the beautiful and lush flowers.  To see more of the spa shower head on over to Ruffled Blog to see the feature.

  • Sprinkles Cupcake Event – Hosted by EVOKE & Events in the City

    September 18, 2012   //   miscellaneous

Sprinkles Cupcakes, good friends and useful take home tools… what more can a girl ask for you?  This fabulous and festive event hosted by EVOKE and Events in the City was held for DC wedding planners to share their “tricks of the trade” so that planners can replenish their emergency kit for the upcoming fall season.  Items brought ranged from oil blotting papers from Teresa of Rex and Regina to a bottle of bourbon (this comes from an old wives tale that if you bury a bottle of bourbon at your wedding site it will ward off rain) brought by Laura and Megan of Events in the City.  This event was held in the Sprinkles room upstairs that is located above theirr cupcake store in Georgetown and it is available for events (complete with cupcakes).  It’s a gorgeous room!
