How does that fairy tail go again... Once upon a time, a former Miss United States becomes a famed reality star and weds D.C. restaurateur, Chris Bassett. Married in gilded celebration at Andrew Mellon Auditorium and planned to a tee by none other than Strawberry Milk Events. We captured the moments, but People Magazine captured the exclusive!

Her resume is long while she's quite petite – Candiace Dillard, 2013's Miss United States pageant queen and more recently a cherry-blossom of RHOP reality star on Bravo. She's a self-proclaimed girly girl with southern charms to boot. And with all of this going for our a former beauty queen, it was no surprise her wedding would don just as much glitz and all the glam!

According to Brides.com, Miss Candiace Dillard traded in her “pageant gown for a wedding gown” and welcomed friends, family and famed onto the stage of her wedded dreams. Outfitted with décor created by Social Supply Events, including mercury glass-inspired floors, gilded flower filled boxes and beaded chandeliers draped in rosebuds by Edge Floral Event Design.

Having worn her share of pageant gowns, Candiace spared no expense or yards of organza while working with Karen Sabag Couture to design her bespoke wedding gown. Eight months, 80 yards of hand-sewn Swarovski crystals and 70 yards of tinted pearl real silk organza all made up a floaty ball gown and tied off with French bows.

And because her wedding wouldn't have been complete without her groom and favorite foodie and chef by trade, Chris Bassett! Priorities for a wedding are of the utmost importance and for these two, it was entertainment for the bride and food, of course for the groom. Working with D.C. based caterers Spilled Milk Catering to create their receptions mouthwatering menu, the infamous raspberry almond wedding cake was made by ButterCream Bakeshop, while the String Queens, live band We the Fix, and DJ Tryfe entertained until hearts were content.
